About Us

About us

We are Jane and Rosie, and we run Castlewood Tea Room. We started off running a small, local cake business (Rosie’s Cakery), primarily online, and were looking to expand when the fantastic opportunity of running a tea room in Severndroog Castle came along. Sadly, after three years of successful trading with numerous regular customers and plenty of positive feedback, the castle board decided not to renew our contract in June 2017. So, reluctantly we are leaving the castle.

However, we are moving just down the road to Woodlands Farm, for the summer at least. We will be opening the café there from Saturday 15th July and plan to hold some music and barbecue events, alongside our everyday menu of delicious homemade cakes, Marshfield Farm ice cream, Italian roasted coffee, Twinings tea, and freshly made brunch and lunch sandwiches. We will also be selling local, seasonal farm produce – fruit and vegetables, jam and honey, chutneys, sausages, cheese, etc. Keep an eye on our social media pages for more info.

Woodlands Farm is a fantastic location for a family day out, with animals to see and lots of activities during the summer holidays (see their website for more details). We want Castlewood Tea Room at Woodlands Farm to continue to be a place with a welcoming atmosphere for all local people as a community focal point. We also want to be somewhere for walkers and tourists on the Capital Ring or Green Chain Walks to have a pit-stop for refreshments, and also visit the farm.

We will be open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm (from 15th July 2017)
