About Us

About us

We are Jane and Rosie, and we run The Farm Tea Room (previously known as Castlewood Tea Room). We started off running a small, local cake business (Rosie’s Cakery), primarily online, and were looking to expand when the fantastic opportunity of running a tea room in Severndroog Castle came along. Sadly, after three years of successful trading with numerous regular customers and plenty of positive feedback, the castle board decided not to renew our contract in June 2017. So, reluctantly we left the castle.

However, we moved just down the road to Woodlands Farm in July 2017. We offer an everyday menu of delicious homemade cakes, Italian roasted coffee, Twinings tea, freshly made brunch and light lunch, and Marshfield Farm ice cream. We also sell Woodlands Farm and other local seasonal produce – jam and honey, chutneys and sauces, chicken and duck eggs, fruit and vegetables, our own homemade granola, and the ground coffee which we make our coffees from. We will be holding some music and barbecue events in the Spring and Summer as well; keep an eye on our social media pages for more info.

Woodlands Farm is a fantastic location for a family day out, with animals to see and lots of activities, especially during school holidays (see their website for more details). We want The Farm Tea Room at Woodlands Farm to continue to be a place with a welcoming atmosphere for all local people as a community focal point. We also want to be somewhere for walkers and tourists on the Capital Ring or Green Chain Walks to have a pit-stop for refreshments, and also visit the farm.
